sun embraced
this is my latest painting available on this website.
and it’s another piece that was heavily affected by the sun project phase one, when i spent all winter painting the sun in different shapes and contexts, and leaving those artworks on the street for people to find.
i finished this painting after the project—and winter with it—was done, but spring is slow to come to lithuania, so that’s what you see here: an artwork very cold in tone, depicting a character leaning on the sun for warmth. the longing for warmth in all its forms.
